Privacy Policy

Effective Date: September 1, 2026

Business: Precision Tech Help

Location: Hagerstown, Maryland

Contact: robert@precisiontechhelp.com

Precision Tech Help respects the privacy of its customers and website visitors. This Privacy Policy explains the types of information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, when it may be shared, and the choices you have regarding your information.

This policy applies to information collected through the Precision Tech Help website, Get Help and Appointment Information forms, appointment scheduling and communications, payment-related interactions, and technology-support services.

1. Information We Collect

Precision Tech Help collects information that is reasonably necessary to respond to requests, schedule and prepare for appointments, provide technology-support services, communicate with customers, and maintain appropriate business records.

This may include your name, email address, phone number, service address or ZIP code, preferred method of contact, appointment and scheduling information, and information you choose to provide about your computers, mobile devices, printers, networking equipment, smart-home devices, software, accounts, technology problems, or other service needs.

If you complete an Appointment Information form, we may also collect information that helps prepare for the visit, such as device make and model, operating system, internet provider, network equipment, approximate amount or type of data to be transferred, and the tasks or problems you would like addressed.

We may retain communications you send to Precision Tech Help, including relevant email or text correspondence.

Payment card information is processed through Square. Precision Tech Help does not ask customers to enter payment-card numbers into Precision Tech Help website forms.

When you use the website, our hosting and other technical service providers may automatically receive limited technical information ordinarily associated with providing a website, such as IP address, browser or device information, request information, and similar technical records.

2. Information You Should Not Send to Us

Please do not submit passwords, multifactor-authentication codes, security codes, Social Security numbers, full payment-card numbers, or other unnecessary sensitive information through Precision Tech Help website forms, email, or text messages.

Precision Tech Help does not request passwords or security codes through website forms, email, or text.

Whenever practical, customers enter sensitive credentials themselves during an appointment. Precision Tech Help does not normally retain customer passwords after service.

If sensitive information is inadvertently provided, we will use reasonable efforts to avoid retaining it longer than necessary.

3. How We Use Information

We may use information we collect to respond to inquiries; determine whether a requested service is appropriate; schedule, confirm, reschedule, or cancel appointments; prepare for and provide services; communicate about appointments and follow-up matters; provide recommendations; process and document payments; maintain customer and service records; address disputes, unpaid balances, fraud, misuse, or safety concerns; comply with legal, tax, accounting, or regulatory requirements; and operate, maintain, and protect the website and business.

Information submitted through Get Help or Appointment Information is used for service-related purposes. Completing these forms does not enroll you in a marketing list.

4. Service Providers

Precision Tech Help uses third-party services to operate portions of the business. Those providers may process information as necessary to provide their services.

Netlify provides website hosting and processes website form submissions. Form submissions may also generate email notifications to Precision Tech Help.

Square provides appointment scheduling, appointment-related communications, payment processing, invoices, transaction records, and related business services. Payment information submitted directly to Square is handled by Square according to its own terms and privacy practices.

Zoho Assist may be used for remote technology-support sessions when remote assistance is appropriate and the customer has approved the session.

Precision Tech Help may also use ordinary email, telecommunications, cloud, and other service providers as needed to conduct business.

Third-party providers maintain information according to their own systems, retention requirements, contractual obligations, and privacy practices. Precision Tech Help does not control every aspect of a third party's data retention.

5. Remote Support and Access to Devices

Remote support is provided only with customer knowledge and approval.

Remote sessions are intended to be attended or actively authorized by the customer. Precision Tech Help does not normally install or maintain permanent unattended remote-access capability on customer devices.

During a support session, information visible on the customer's device may necessarily be seen while diagnosing or resolving the requested problem. Precision Tech Help seeks to access only information reasonably necessary to perform the requested service.

Customers are encouraged to enter passwords and other sensitive credentials themselves whenever practical.

6. How Long We Keep Information

Precision Tech Help follows a data-minimization approach and does not intend to retain detailed customer intake information indefinitely.

We generally aim to remove detailed inquiry and appointment-intake information from our active systems within approximately 90 days after the related request or appointment has been resolved, completed, or canceled, unless the information remains reasonably necessary for service, follow-up, a dispute, an outstanding balance, legal compliance, security, or another legitimate business purpose.

This may include removing unnecessary copies of detailed form submissions from systems such as Netlify and related email notifications.

Some information may be retained longer when reasonably necessary for normal business purposes. For example, invoices, transaction information, dates of service, basic customer contact information, service summaries, accounting records, and records relevant to disputes or legal obligations may need to be retained for a longer period.

Information maintained independently by third-party service providers may also be subject to those providers' retention practices and legal obligations.

7. How We Share Information

Precision Tech Help does not sell or rent customer personal information.

We may disclose information to service providers when reasonably necessary to operate the business or provide requested services; when you direct or authorize us to do so; when reasonably necessary to protect the rights, safety, security, or property of Precision Tech Help, a customer, or another person; in connection with a legitimate legal process or requirement; or when otherwise permitted or required by law.

We seek to limit disclosures to information reasonably necessary for the purpose involved.

8. Information Security

Precision Tech Help uses reasonable administrative and technical practices intended to protect personal information against unauthorized access, use, modification, disclosure, or destruction.

We also seek to minimize the amount of sensitive information we collect and retain and to dispose of records containing personal information in a manner reasonably designed to protect against unauthorized access or use when those records are no longer needed.

No website, email system, telecommunications system, cloud service, or method of electronic storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Accordingly, Precision Tech Help cannot promise absolute security.

Maryland law requires businesses maintaining Maryland residents' personal information to use reasonable security practices appropriate to the nature of the information and the nature and size of the business, as well as reasonable measures when destroying records containing personal information.

9. Data Security Incidents

If Precision Tech Help becomes aware of a suspected security incident involving personal information, we will evaluate the incident and take reasonable steps appropriate to the circumstances.

Where applicable, Precision Tech Help will follow legally required investigation and notification procedures. Maryland law includes specific requirements for investigating certain breaches involving Maryland residents' personal information and, when notification is required, for notifying the Maryland Attorney General and affected individuals.

10. Your Information and Requests

You may contact Precision Tech Help to ask about personal information we maintain about you or to request that information be corrected or deleted.

We will consider reasonable requests and respond as appropriate. In some circumstances, information may need to be retained for accounting, tax, payment, dispute-resolution, security, legal, or other legitimate business reasons even after a deletion request.

Requests may be sent to:

robert@precisiontechhelp.com

We may take reasonable steps to verify that a person making a request is the person to whom the information relates.

11. Children

The Precision Tech Help website and online forms are intended for a general audience and are not designed to collect personal information directly from children under 13.

Precision Tech Help does not knowingly collect personal information online directly from children under 13. If we learn that a child under 13 has submitted personal information directly to us without appropriate parental involvement, we will take reasonable steps to delete the information or otherwise handle it in accordance with applicable law.

Federal COPPA requirements can apply to a general-audience website if its operator has actual knowledge that it is collecting personal information from a child under 13.

12. Third-Party Websites and Services

The Precision Tech Help website may link to or direct customers to third-party websites and services, such as Square or Facebook.

Those services operate under their own privacy policies and terms. Precision Tech Help is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of independently operated third-party websites and services.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

Precision Tech Help may update this Privacy Policy as business practices, services, technology, or legal requirements change.

When material changes are made, the updated policy will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
